PCMCIA Modules for the Allen-Bradley SLC 1746 I/O chassis
|
Features Include
- Easily read and write up to 2 GigaBytes (GB) of PCMCIA Memory card data which
is 250 MegaWords (MW) of Controller data
- Communicates with the Allen-Bradley® SLC 5/03, 5/04 or 5/05 over the SLC backplane
using standard Ladder Instructions
- Communicates with a PC over a TCP/IP Ethernet network using a PCMCIA Ethernet card
- Communicates with ASCII Serial devices over an RS232 channel using a PCMCIA Serial card
- Data stored in ASCII format can be read and written by an Allen-Bradley® SLC 5/03, 5/04, 5/05, Microsoft®
Access™, Excel™, Word™ and most Text Editors
- Data stored in Binary format can be read and written by an Allen-Bradley® SLC 5/03, 5/04, and 5/05
- Other than a PCMCIA card, this module does not require additional hardware, software or cables
Applications Include
- Data Logging: Save (Write) Production, Process and Alarm Status from Allen-Bradley® Controllers
- Recipe Loading: Load (Read) Process Information to Allen-Bradley® Controllers
- e-Manufacturing: Communicate between the factory floor and the enterprise, View and Analyze data in real-time
SLC Backplane Interface
- Single slot, Class 4 module for the SLC 1746 I/O chassis
- 250 word M0 file for Command, Reply and Status
- 30,000 word M1 file for User Data
- 250 word G file for User Configuration
- 2,250 word G file for File Transfers
- Does not use Input or Output files, therefore it does not use any I/O space
PCMCIA Sockets
- Has two hot swappable, Plug and Play, Type II PCMCIA sockets
- Each socket can hold a different Type I or Type II PCMCIA card, OR both sockets
can be used to hold one Type III PCMCIA card
- Accepts the following 5 Volt, 1 Amp, 8 and 16 bit PCMCIA cards (CardBus NOT supported):
- ATA Flash (up to 2GB)
- Battery Backed SRAM
- Serial I/O
- Ethernet
Programming
- Read file, Write file, Make directory, Delete file or directory, Format disk,
Send stream and Receive stream are programmed with standard Ladder Instructions
- Read / Write up to 30,000 words of data per function call (transfer between
the M1 file and the Module file system)
- Any mix of data types (S, B, T, C, R, N, F, A, ST, I/O, M) can be stored
- Command execution, using M0 file, behaves as an immediate instruction (does not wait for End
of Scan nor interfere with SLC scan time)
- User programmable, non-retentive Real Time Calendar / Clock
- 8 user programmable LED's
